Airline History

I have to admit I am buried today working on tomorrow’s lecture on airline history. Within several days, the talk should up online and I will send you a link.
The airline industry is one of the most fascinating. And certainly unique – in the nature of its founders, in the role of government and regulation, in the challenges past and present. Some of our greatest leaders and entrepreneurs have been in the industry.
If you are in or around Austin tomorrow, January 27, I will give a “free and open to the public” talk on the University of Texas Campus at the AT&T conference center, Lavaca at MLK. The cocktail reception is at 5:30 and I will talk at 6 or so. I imagine we will wrap up about 7:30.
In the interim, I have posted a few good airline books to the right. In the future, when I have more time, I will review them in more detail.
I hope to see you tomorrow.
